Two generations

It started in a tiny building down the street.

In 1982 this was a mom-and-pop shop buying coins and gold. Everything since has been built on the same promise, and mostly by the same family.

1982
Opens as a small mom-and-pop business in a tiny building down the street from the current location. Coins and gold buying.
1996
Pawn loans added — gold jewelry, diamonds, sterling, Rolex and coins — so customers who needed money didn't have to sell.
2010
The Golden Opportunity event begins with the Fresno and Tulare County Offices of Education.
2012
The Gold Treasure Giveaway raises $250,000 for Children's Hospital of Central California.
Today
Three Valley locations — Blackstone runs as two buildings, The Pawn Shop and The Showroom — and a team of more than forty.
Where the money goes

A Fresno business that shows up for Fresno.

The Golden Opportunity gold-buying event exists to fund Valley schools. Coats for Kids, Change Bandits and the St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway sit alongside it.

$343,296

In their own words

Forty-four years of word of mouth.

“The staff is so knowledgeable about coins, the value of metals, jewelry and even the unique history of our area. They treat my 10 and 6 year old boys with sincerity and encourage their curiosity in coin history and collecting.”
